The place is quite comfortable, the table and the surrounding setting can be considered quite luxurious if compared to the normal nasi kandar or some banana leaf shop, its kind of clean. They have three waiters in the shop and one supervisor (i think). Wonder why they do not have lady server.
The first image is the statute that you will see when you first step into the shop !!
The second image is their mutton briyani rice. Briyani rice is quite oily compared to other briyani stalls that i have tried, however the herbs(rempah) that they used to cook the rice is not bad as the taste and the aroma is thick and good. As for the mutton ,its kind of juicy and it is not overcooked (there is a lot of places where people tend to overcook mutton) it's good for people who like the mutton taste. They do give you a reasonable portion of mutton as it does not come with a cheap price tag. (i personally prefer the briyani in Tarbush, Batu Ferringhi)
The third one is the chicken tikkai masala. The taste is pretty common as in any Indian restaurants. It tastes like smoked chicken with some charcoal aroma.
The forth image is the chicken lunch set (which is supposed to be free, hahaha) it come in a variety of rice, Nan, Dahl , curry chicken, dry curry chicken, vege, yogurt, etc (which i don't know how to name them). It's kind of a complete set for you to try out Indian food. The curry chicken is pretty normal, the dry curry is good though, their dahl is kind of thick and usually dahl which is thick is a good one. The nan is cooked perfectly as you don't see a lot of overcooked dark spot. Its kind of soft. (even though nan is a normal Indian food, but there are times where you have a nan which is too dry and thick and powder-ish) its not in Karaikudi, worth a try !!!

Actually if not foodmice sending out this voucher, i think wont have a opportunity to enjoy an Indian meal here - GEM. Althought the restaurant start business not more than one year in Penang but there is another 2branch at KL & Klang which running business more than 10years. The restaurant just locate the corner junction between Bishop Street & King Street. A 3floors building with newly renovate which just opposite Public Bank.

Before entering, you could saw a very classic Indian picture hang on the wall and there is a nice waiter will open the door for you. When the momment step in the restaurant, we saw a lot of Indian decoration items inside. If not special request, normally your be served at ground floor. There is a funny things, whenever we have a request, those Indian waiter will shake their head but actually shake like number of 8, it means "Yes"...lol

Next, we visit the 2nd floor, normally 2nd floor is not open but it's provide for any function, party or small gathering. Here can accomodate around 5-60 people. There also provide buffet style of Indian Food.
1. Chicken Briyani (RM15.90)
2. Mutton Briyani (RM18.90)
3. Non-Vege Briyani -> (这个我有点好奇,应该是Vege吧!?Menu上没有。)

我和小晶略嫌小份所以自己加钱order了一份Dragon Chicken,红透透看似很辣的感觉其实一点都不辣而且还有甜甜的。Dragon Chicken是去骨鸡肉并综合各种香料、大葱和腰豆一起炒的,在Menu是Chef Recommend的,不过有点小贵,一小盘RM15.90 (加tax后RM17.50) Due to the set lunch not a big portion, we decide to order a chef recommend which is Dragon Chicken. You saw it's very RED, right? Actually it's not spicy but taste abit sweet. It's boneless chicken mix with a lot of spice, it cost RM15.90 before tax.
